"In Chinese Medicine Philosophy we do not focus on eradicating a disease – we support the body and strengthen it, so it combats the disease through its own ability to heal. This way the body heals itself through the gentle support and guidance of Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Nutrition and Movement Therapy."
MY PHILOSOPHY
Eastern Medicine is a way of seeing our surrounding environment. Its understanding percolates into all aspects of life. It offers individualized diagnosis and treatment based on pulse diagnosis, tongue diagnosis, abdominal palpation, acupuncture points and meridians palpation.
Japanese Acupuncture revives the earliest and most authentic ways that the ancient practiced this art, with the use of moxibustion (most often as a balancing tool), paired with the use of metal needles. It has also evolved on its own along side Japanese Culture, and is known for its great attention to detail during treatment and diagnosis.
Patients receive hands on treatments that are based on abdominal diagnosis and pulse reading. The abdomen and pulse of the patient has to improve during and after a session - this provides an idea of the progression of the treatment and healing process. It is also great way of demonstrating to the patient at what level their health is, as they can feel how areas, that were previously tight or painful, can improve even within a single session.
Acupressure is included in the Acupuncture sessions as well. Massage is most effective in its ability to detect blockages and better illuminate the patient’s underlying condition. It also creates a soothing experience for patients and encourages them to relax in the session.
