About me:
I am a Registered Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine who graduated in 1999 at ICTCM.
In my native Poland, I studied Human Nutrition, Home Economics, and Agriculture Engineering.
I went to ICTCM (International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine now called Tzu QI Institute of Chinese Medicine) in Vancouver.
As a student of TCM, I was working at the Choices Market and the Semperviva health food stores staying connected to my previous studies of Nutritional Science.
In 1999 and 2000 I attended practicum in He Fei’s Anhui Hospital specializing in Acupuncture, in China.
I started practicing part-time in 1999 in beautiful Kitsilano in Vancouver BC, and within 6 months my practice grew to a full-time clinic.
In 2003 I attended Kiiko Matsumoto Sensei seminar in Seattle, and from then on my interest in Japanese Acupuncture has been ignited.
However, it really got my full attention in 2005, when I attended Ikeda Sensei Seminar in San Francisco CA. Ikeda Sensei and his protégé Edward Sensei’s teachings were truly thought-provoking it was easy to appreciate the efficacy, clarity, and simplicity of the Japanese approach to Acupuncture. I was able to reach a better level of competence, which I was not aware, was possible. Japanese Acupuncture grabbed my attention by being extremely” Western mind friendly”, by being very structured, organized, and clinically predictable in outcomes.
In 2009 my husband and I moved to Morocco, Marrakech, where I built another Acupuncture practice: Acupuncture Ville Rouge. I practiced there serving locals and many expatriates.
A few of my patients went on to study Chinese Medicine in Europe and are now providing Acupuncture in Morocco.
I attended seminars with Mr. Andy Harrop in London UK, who serves as KMS Acupuncture liaison in Europe.
Upon return to BC, we settled in Victoria where I practiced since, and from 2012-2014 I was an Instructor and Clinical Advisor at Pacific Rim College.
In 2018 I was asked by Eastern Currents to assist Kiiko Matsumoto Sensei in her two-day seminar during COMS in the absence of Monika Kobylecka. This was truly an honor.
In closing: the beauty of this style for in based in the fact that it was in no way disrespectful or departed from Classics and Ancient Chinese Writing. On the contrary, the Japanese Acupuncture approach is a stickler for the study of layers and layers of information encoded in Huang Di Nei Jing but particularly in Nan Jing.
I realized this style had so much potential and it was in a way of me growing as a Practitioner and delivering a treatment where both the patient and the physician are seeing the results and are clear on treatment efficacy and progress.
This is your last chance to study with me in person as I am to move back to Europe in the near future.
Please feel free to email me if you have any questions to [email protected]/call 250-886-8863
